The birth of a fresh idea.

People often wonder how the idea for Green for Pink came about. The answer is simple: it came from cancer survivors themselves. As a cancer survivor, I attended support meetings regularly. At one of these meetings, I met a two-time survivor who said, “I had a freezer full of chicken soup and all I wanted was some good, fresh food.”

Imagine it. A woman with cancer who wished only for something healthy to eat! Days after hearing those words, a local farmer called me and offered to bring a basket of organic produce from her garden. Together, the survivor’s words and a simple act of kindness became Green for Pink.
